Technical Program Manager (Argus Safety)

iVigee is a global pharmacovigilance technology and services company, combining deep regulatory expertise with AI-enabled tools (such as iViReg, iViTracker, iViSight) to support clients’ drug safety life cycles. 

We deliver global PV coverage, regulatory intelligence, safety database implementation, audits, and consulting. 

We are now seeking a new team member for the position of Technical Program Manager (Argus Safety).

Location: India.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Technical Program Manager (Argus Safety) plays a pivotal role in leading end-to-end program delivery for Argus Safety database implementations, upgrades, integrations, and managed services for pharmaceutical and life sciences clients. This individual is responsible for planning, executing, and governing multiple concurrent projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and cross-functional delivery teams. The ideal candidate is a self-driven, solutions-oriented program manager with a deep technical understanding of the Argus Safety ecosystem, proven mastery of project planning tools, strong client-handling and presentation skills, and a track record of leading complex pharmacovigilance technology programs.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Planning and Delivery:

  • Define program scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain, and track integrated project plans using Microsoft Project Plan and other project planning tools.
  • Manage multiple Argus Safety projects concurrently, ensuring alignment of timelines, resources, budgets, and dependencies.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, issues, and roadblocks, escalating appropriately to leadership and client sponsors.

Technical Leadership (Argus Safety):

  • Provide technical oversight and guidance across Argus Safety database implementations, upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
  • Lead solution design discussions and translate complex technical concepts into clear delivery plans for clients and internal teams.

Client and Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on program status, scope changes, and strategic decisions.
  • Lead client-facing presentations, steering committee reviews, and project governance meetings with clarity and confidence.
  • Build trusted, long-term client relationships grounded in transparency, accountability, and delivery excellence.
  • Negotiate scope, priorities, and commitments to balance client expectations with delivery realities.

Team and Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Lead and facilitate discussions across operations, IT, QA, regulatory affairs, and vendor teams to ensure aligned execution of overall project services.
  • Collaborate with project managers and delivery leads, providing direction, feedback, and mentorship across the program.
  • Drive process improvement and operational excellence within the Argus Safety delivery practice.
  • Report program health, KPIs, and financials to executive leadership and client sponsors on a regular cadence.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience managing projects in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically involving the Argus Safety database.

Special skills

  • Proven ability to lead and manage discussions related to overall project services, solution strategy, and delivery governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity without compromising quality or timelines.
  • Strong technical understanding of the Argus Safety database ecosystem, including configuration, integrations, data flows, and validation is a plus

Language skills

  • Excellent English communication skills with strong command over written and spoken language.
  • Outstanding presentation, client-handling, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work independently in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on delivery quality, governance, and risk management.

Computer skills

  • Excellent proficiency in using project planning tools, particularly Microsoft Project Plan.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
