For many members of the international pharmacovigilance world, you may have first come into Dr. Jan Petracek at a meeting, conference, ISOP forum, or PV training. Whatever the reason was, there's a pretty darn good chance that you were impressed with his PV knowledge. Well, don't feel alone. He is an international expert on the topic, but he is humble and modest maybe even more so as the years move forward.
But today, at Six O'Clock in the morning (yesterday we fell back an hour for daylight savings time, so not so terribly early), Dr. Petracek spent several hours training an audience of regulatory officials most from the country of China. He has done this exact training on various pharmacovigilance topics over the past several years to this same audience as they are ramping up their PV systems in this large and impressive country.
